Who is Tracking Tools for? ▼
Anyone who wants to build better daily habits — whether you're starting from scratch or trying to maintain existing routines. We have users ranging from students and athletes to professionals and retirees. The simplicity makes it accessible to everyone.
Do I need to create an account? ▼
You can start tracking immediately without an account. Your data is stored locally in your browser. To sync across devices and preserve your history long-term, we recommend creating a free account — it takes 30 seconds.
Tracking & Features
How many habits can I track? ▼
Unlimited habits on both free and Pro plans. However, we strongly recommend tracking 3 or fewer habits, especially when starting. Research shows that users tracking 1–3 habits have significantly higher completion rates than those tracking 5+. Quality over quantity.
What happens if I miss a day? ▼
Missing a day is completely human and expected. Your streak will reset to 0, but your history remains intact. The most important rule is "never miss twice" — restart immediately the next day. Research shows that missing one day has almost no impact on long-term habit formation.
Can I track habits that happen multiple times per day? ▼
Currently each habit has one daily check. For frequency-based habits (e.g. "drink 8 glasses of water"), we recommend tracking the daily total as one checkbox. A frequency tracker is on our product roadmap for the Pro plan.
How does the streak counter work? ▼
Your streak counts consecutive days you've completed a habit. It starts from your first completion and increments each day you mark the habit done. Missing one day resets to 0. Your all-time best streak is always saved and displayed in your stats.

How long does it take to form a habit? ▼
University College London research found the average is 66 days (not the commonly cited 21 days). The range is 18–254 days depending on the person and habit complexity. Simple habits (drinking water) form faster; complex behaviors (daily exercise) take longer. We recommend committing to 66 days as your initial goal.
What's the best way to start? ▼
Choose one habit, make it tiny (the two-minute rule), and track it for 30 consecutive days before adding anything else. The most common mistake is trying to change too much at once. Start embarrassingly small — you can always scale up once the habit is established.
Why do I keep failing to build habits? ▼
The most common reasons: (1) Habits are too ambitious — make them smaller. (2) Tracking is too complicated — our tracker solves this. (3) Missing day becomes missing week — apply the "never miss twice" rule. (4) Motivation-dependent — habits should be environment-dependent, not willpower-dependent.

Can I export my data? ▼
Yes! Pro users can export their complete habit history as CSV, PDF, or a shareable image at any time. Free users can export the current week's data. Your data will always be yours to take with you.
Can I use the tracker offline? ▼
Yes. The tracker works offline and syncs automatically when you reconnect to the internet. Perfect for tracking on your morning run or in areas with poor signal.

Can I cancel anytime? ▼
Yes, cancel anytime with no penalty. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your billing period. After cancellation, you return to the free plan with all your habit history intact.

What browsers does Tracking Tools support? ▼
All modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. The tracker is fully responsive and works identically on mobile, tablet, and desktop. We recommend adding it to your home screen for app-like access.
Is there a mobile app? ▼
The web tracker is fully mobile-optimized and can be added to your phone's home screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA). A native iOS and Android app is planned for late 2026 — join our newsletter to be notified.
